Historic Hollenbeck Park was originally built in 1892 in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles. The park was originally built on 25 acres donated by the widow of John Edward Hollenbeck, founder of First National Bank. The park has undergone many changes over the years, and we recently updated the aging exercise area with top-of-the-line adjustable resistance fitness equipment.
Original Fitness Area
The original fitness area consisted of 9 well-used workout stations from our low-impact range. These units rely on the user’s own body weight and are suitable for visitors or all ages and abilities. Seeing how much the community loved their workout equipment, the area was completely re-designed and retrofitted with all new units.
After Upgrades
The new design almost doubled the number of workout stations from 9 to 17 and incorporated brand new units from the Greenfields Adjustable Resistance Series. The biggest change is the addition of multiple units from the Wheelchair Accessible line.
